Shellie Taylor
Shellie Taylor has been gracing the local music scene with her unique and talented voice for about 10 years playing at local pubs and many of the infamous Ribfests.
Shellie fell in love with the spotlight at the age of 3, singing to the people in her Toronto neighborhood where she grew up. Shellie sang in as many school musicals as possible as a child.
Shellie credits one of her BFF’s for the reason she returned to singing and performing. Out for a night of live music in 2004, a bunch of people went to see her friend’s brother’s band, ‘Face First’. ‘Someone’ got word to the band that Shellie loved to sing…and so it began.
Shellie got up and sang Sheryl Crow’s “First Cut is the Deepest”. It was her first time singing with a full band, she’s been gigging ever since!
Karaoke shows, acoustic shows, full bands, and jam nights!
Musical influences include her Dad, who was always the guitar player at all the family campfires and crazy cousin kitchen parties, her acoustic player and friend Bernie, Stevie Nicks, Grace Potter, Elvis, Melissa Etheridge, Allanah Myles, Robert Plant, coach and old friend Mr. Dave Perry, and every single musician she has ever had the pleasure playing with. |
